"I am around student athletes every day. I love to challenge them with everything that I do and say. LookUp gives me just that opportunity. This past volleyball season I was wearing a LookUp sweatshirt as I walked into the state tournament when all of a sudden I heard a group of students begin a chant of LookUp… LookUp… One of the students asked me what LookUp on my shirt meant. This gave me the opportunity to share the gospel with this young man and a couple of other students. LookUp is a great icebreaker to share the gospel with others."
"I’m a college golfer and I feel that it is really important to integrate athletic ability with God. He has given us a gift that we should all be thankful for. We have a chance to spread the gospel simply through our good works in the sport. It is important to wear your religion on your sleeve when you compete in athletic events, in hope that it will not only be seen, but people may react and ask questions about what you are showing.In my own experience, I have worn a LookUp wristband while playing in tournaments, and I have been asked about it multiple times. It gives me a chance to share my walk with God and how I am so thankful for the gifts he has given me. It also just served as a great reminder to turn to God when things may get hard on the course. If something isn’t going well, I could just look at my wrist, see the LookUp symbol, and be at peace knowing that God has a plan for all. My LookUp bracelet has given me a sense of calmness on the course, and makes me thankful for the fact that God has given me the ability to play a sport I love at such a high level."
