Evil is a real thing – it creates all kinds of problems. But God is greater than all of the evil in this world.

We’re all tempted to do what we know is wrong; we’re human. But we don’t have to automatically give in to that temptation. Ask God for help – right away, and then get up and remove yourself from the situation.

Have you ever felt totally alone with no one you could turn to? God is always there and he promises to strengthen and help you. Go to him and be completely honest about how you feel – he listens.

No matter what has happened in the past, God doesn’t want you to give up. He’s in the restoration business, and he can turn your life around for the better. Just ask and believe.

We all have challenges in life, but you need to remember that God is in your situation – he is there for you, and has a customized plan that is perfect for the situation. Your job is to trust and obey – God will show you the way.

Are you generous with God’s money? Are you a giver to others? Do you willingly share your money, time, and talents? God gives to us we give to others. And we can never out-give God.

Take each one of these “fruit,” write it on 3 x 5 cards, or in your cell phone notes section, and carry them with you. When you’re standing in line somewhere, pull out one of the cards (or cell phone) and ask yourself how you’re doing with that particular “fruit.” It has the effect of focusing you on these key traits of Christ-followers. You won’t master all of them, but the exercise really helps you understand how far you have to go.

I don’t fish, but those I know who do, can’t wait to get at it. Imagine if we had that passion for telling others about how Christ can change their lives. We can’t fix people, but we can point them to the guy who can. And this work lasts forever. God will outfit you for the excursion. All you have to do is get in the boat.

Life has a way of beating us up. But God has an over-the-counter medication for that. It’s called encouragement. We all need it, but seldom get it. You can change that, and in doing so, you’ll change the lives of those around you. It might even catch on.

When we truly repent and turn from sin, God fills us up with his peace and well-being and we are refreshed and given clean air to breathe. Get cleaned up and breathe in some good, clean air – it’s a very healthy thing to do.
